Steve Bartells - Art Director
Steve Bartells is an interdisciplinary artist who uses methods of old to create art for the now. Starting every project by means of pen and paper, believing there is beauty in the purposefully placed mistakes he likes to phrase with the word character.
Steve takes pride in his continual pursuit of a career in the field of art and design. He has set out to accomplish something by means of hard work.
After Steve completed school with a Bachelor's Degree in Business with Minors in Marketing and Finance, he realized something was missing from his life.
​After taking design courses during every semester of high school, he realized he missed the enjoyment that paralleled the act of making. It was something that he hasn't stopped doing since.
Drawing. Carving. Capturing his environment. All the while striving to continue down this never ending path of becoming an artist.
Steve is currently creating work for Portland Leather as an Art Director.

As of right now, Steve is spending his free time being a father and husband to his family. But would enjoy talking design, creative process, smoking meat, Portland Trailblazers upcoming season, EEM or any other topic of your choosing over a beer or coffee.
